RidgeLine Hat knitting pattern by Lavender Hill Knits


The RidgeLine Hat features a mountain range of twisted stitches and a rising moon in stockinette stitch on a garter stitch sky.  Perfectly fun to knit and wear!  A cozy unisex hat that makes a great gift for any lover of outdoor adventures. 


Skill level:
advanced beginner/intermediate - requires basic knowledge of knitting, knitting in the round, working cables.


Materials needed for the hat:
240 yards of sportweight yarn. (Yarn used for hat shown is "Chickadee" by Quince & Co., www.quinceandco.com)
Size US 4 (3.5mm) 16" circular knitting needles
Size US 4 (3.5mm) straight needles (optional)
Size US 4 (3.5mm) double point knitting needles
Crochet hook in same size or one to two sizes larger than knitting needles used.
Cable needle



5.5 stitches and 12 rows over 1" using garter stitch.

Finished size:

approx. 20" around unstretched, 8" high unstretched.
